JoodBooking’s communication add-ons let you automatically notify your customers at every stage of the booking journey — confirmation, status changes, payment receipts, and pre-arrival reminders — via the channels they already use every day. Instead of manually sending messages from your Backoffice, you configure message templates once and let JoodBooking handle the rest. Whether you serve customers in Saudi Arabia or internationally, there is a supported messaging provider ready to connect.

Supported Messaging Services

Msegat

Saudi Arabia’s leading bulk SMS platform, offering high delivery rates, Arabic language support, and strong local carrier connectivity for customers across the Kingdom.

MessageBird

An international messaging platform supporting SMS delivery to over 190 countries — ideal if your business serves customers outside Saudi Arabia.

SMS

Generic SMS gateway support for businesses that use a provider not listed above, giving you flexibility to connect your existing messaging service.

WhatsApp

Send booking-related messages directly to customers via WhatsApp — the most widely used messaging app in Saudi Arabia — from both your B2C website and your Backoffice.

What You Can Automate

As soon as a customer completes a booking on your website or an agent enters one in the Backoffice, a confirmation message is sent automatically to the customer with full booking details.
Keep customers informed whenever a booking changes status — confirmed, modified, or cancelled — without any manual follow-up from your team.
From the Backoffice, send pre-built request and confirmation messages to your hotel and transport suppliers directly via SMS or WhatsApp, speeding up your operations workflow.
Automatically send a payment receipt to the customer as soon as a payment is recorded in the system — for both online payments and manual payment registration.
Schedule automated reminder messages to go out to customers a set number of days before their check-in date, reducing no-shows and improving the guest experience.

How to Activate Communication Add-ons

1

Contact JoodBooking support to enable the add-on

Reach out to the JoodBooking team and request that the Communication add-on be enabled for your account. The team will confirm activation and guide you on the next steps.
2

Choose your preferred messaging provider

Decide which provider fits your needs. Use Msegat if you primarily serve customers in Saudi Arabia, or MessageBird for international reach. You can activate multiple providers simultaneously.
3

Provide your messaging provider API credentials

Share the API key or access token from your chosen messaging provider with the JoodBooking onboarding team. You obtain these credentials from your provider’s dashboard after registering for an account.
4

Configure message templates in the Backoffice

In your JoodBooking Backoffice, go to Notifications and set up the message templates for each event type (confirmation, status update, reminder, etc.). Customise the content to match your brand voice.
5

Test the integration

Create a test booking and verify that the expected message is delivered to the recipient’s phone. Confirm correct encoding for Arabic or English content before going live.
WhatsApp integration is available on both the B2C booking website and the Backoffice. Agents can send WhatsApp messages to customers and suppliers directly from within the Backoffice interface.
Msegat is recommended for businesses primarily serving Saudi Arabian customers. Its local carrier relationships result in higher delivery rates and faster message throughput compared to international providers operating in the Kingdom.
